Debunking activity is Just as fun as capturing Ghostly Evidence!

Hello, Haunt Fans!
This is J-Adam Smith, the Director of Paranormal Investigations at Haunted Knoxville Ghost Tours. This past week, we received communication from an individual in North Knoxville about a strange and eerie ghostly image that was captured on his security camera. He knew exactly who to call and reached out to us, stating that the image looked like someone who had passed away in the area.
We investigated this matter further and shared our experiences in similar investigations. We will also explain the method we used to analyze and ultimately debunk this specific occurrence.
It’s important to remember that investigations do not always reveal genuine ghostly activity. However, it can be really exciting to use science, observations, and testing methods to explain these phenomena in a natural way.
1. **Review Evidence**: Upon examining the video, does the evidence appear unusual and not easily debunked? The submitted video definitely looked strange.
2. **Ask the Client**: What does it look like to you? In this clip, based on the client's responses, it seemed to depict a homeless man who used to ride his bike in the area while he was alive.
3. **Identify Specific Details**: Is there anything in the picture that makes you feel it could be the ghost of the homeless man? The client replied, “No, other than the sight of a bike crossing his property.” This question is crucial; finding out what the client sees is very important for the investigation.
4. **Request Comparison Photos**: Do you have any pictures of the person (the ghost) for comparison? The answer was no. We suggested that he reach out to neighbors to see if anyone has a photo.
5. **Check for Additional Cameras**: Do you have any other cameras we can compare the video against? This includes additional angles, comparing timestamps, etc. His answer was no; the camera only activates when it detects motion.
“Can you submit a different camera video at the same time? This will allow me to get a better view. Thanks……It is pretty wicked”
.6. **Create Evidence**: This was the most crucial step in attempting to explain the unusual activity. We suggested that the client try to create similar evidence by moving in front of the camera while riding a bicycle. This would help in understanding the original evidence better.
“How about trying to recreate by riding across the same location at around the same time? See how it looks if someone were to ride across. Compare …”
Here is the Video evidence of attempting to explain the phenomena naturally:
“Well false alarm lol this is me pushing grandsons bike past the camera. I really thought we had something haha. Sorry to waste your time but good idea about reenactment.”
We are honored to have had the opportunity to provide a sound scientific approach to this unusual video surveillance. We encourage everyone to use their deduction skills and have fun trying to explain the activity naturally. Who knows, you might capture evidence that cannot be explained naturally.
